At Morré Lyons Jewelers, we sell our diamonds unmounted because you can only tell the true color, weight, and clarity of a diamond if it is unmounted. Examining a loose diamond, you can tell the true color by turning the diamond up-side down and the true weight by weighing it on the diamond scale. A mounted diamond may be hiding flaws under the prongs. Before purchasing, always examine a diamond for clarity while unmounted.
